Powder Princess

I love seeing girls in sports.  And if there is something that completely melts my heart, it has got to be little girls slaying the hill in tutu’s.

My youngest loved to dress-up.  She wore Elsa’s dress to climb mountains, she wore a princess dress to school every day in pre-school even though we were reminded that it was not dress-up day, and she always wanted to wear her tutu while riding her bike or scooting to school.  On the mountain, while skiing, the tutu never took.  She did, however, get lots of mileage with a crown on her helmet.

The way I see it, let them do it!  Do you want to wear a dress while playing hockey, wear it!  Do you want to have flowers in your hair while climbing the tallest mountains?  Do it!  Do you want to wear a dress to ride your bike?  Do it!  Do you want streamers spilling out of your handlebars?  Do it!  Do you want extra sparkle on your helmet? Do it! Do you want a tutu over your snow pants?  Do it!

In the end, they’re happy, it makes a ton of people smile, and its pure cuteness overload!
