I had the wonderful opportunity to ski in Kimberley and witness the strong presence of adaptive skiers that shred their slopes. Having been trained as a physiotherapist, I’m well aware of the challenges that these athletes face and so when I have the opportunity to see them in action, I’m blown away by their perseverance, skills, and motivation to get out there and do what they love despite the challenges. I love seeing what they can do. This piece was inspired by them, and also by the great Amanda Timm, role model extraordinaire, and her incredible adventures in a sit ski (look her up on IG (@amandajtimm) and it will not disappoint).
